9-11

Here we are, 7 years later.. It feels like yesterday, doesn't it?? Okay maybe not yesterday, but not 7 years for sure! As they said on the news this morning, everyone remembers where they were when they heard what was going on in our country that September morning. This made me think of all the moments in my life that I could tell you where I was when something happened.. I was in my 3rd grade classroom when the space shuttle challenger exploded... I was at lunch, I believe in 10th grade when I heard OJ was found not guilty... I was driving home from a Twins game on 94 driving east in St Paul (crossing over the top of 35e) when I heard about Princess Di was in the car accident. On Aug 1st, 2007 I had just got home and started laundry and dyeing my hair when I heard of the 35w bridge collapse. And of course, 09/11/01 I was sitting in a training room at State Farm with Jodi, Shelly and Laura when Shannon came in to tell us about a plane hitting the first tower.
So many things like this have happened in my short lifetime.. And there are more that I was not around for like Pearl Harbor and the JFK assassination. You ask anyone that was alive at those two times, they know where they were when they found out.
How about you? I know you will all know where you were for 9/11... what about those other events, do you remember where you were for them?
I also wanted to say a big thanks to everyone who has gone on to defend our country since that September morning! I am very grateful to you all!
