Well, after a weekend of being sick (and pretending not to be), this weekend was a good one! Friday night I got together with Kelly and Jason. We went out to the Stadium where we had a few pitchers of beer while sitting outside watching softball. It was a great night to sit outside with good company! I love it when we get some decent weather here in MN. Specially on the weekend :) After the Stadium, we headed down to Bleechers (for old time sake). Unfortunately there was no karaoke! We didn't stay there for long before we headed to the Chalet. never been there before, but we had a really tasty frozen pizza while watching drunken fools sing karaoke!
Saturday morning I had breakfast at a cafe in Minneapolis with Jason. It was a place called "The Bad Waitress" it was kinda fun! We sat outside and checked out the menu. I noticed little golf pencils in the dish with jelly. I said, do you think we have to put in our own order? then I saw a little note pad, sure enough, it gave us instructions on ordering. We had to fill out the little pad and bring it in and pay for our food! The food was delish... but the name is right on! we only saw a waitress two times, when she brought us our drinks and when she brought the food!
After that I headed home, excited to watch a few episodes of a new fave show "october road". When I got home Mathias called to say that he was heading down to the Burnsville Bowl to play some Texas Hold 'em. I decided I would join him. He played for a while, and when he was done i talked him into teaching me how to play! We sat on my balcony and played for a few hours. I won the first two games, he won the 2nd two. I think i am ready to play against more than one player!
After our little texas hold 'em tourney, I headed down to Mindy and Jay's to celebrate Mindy's birthday. It was a great day... good breakfast, good company, good poker and finished off with good friends! I went home round 9pm and was fast asleep by 1030! You know you are old when no matter what time you go to bed you wake up at 7 am! which is what happened Friday night, making me soooo tired saturday night!
Today I went over to the little Linders hut by my place Now i have two hanging baskets and my little window flower pots. My balcony is GREAT! I have been sitting out here all day enjoying it! I can't believe last summer i didn't sit out here more often! I want to put a couple more flowers out... i want to get two square pots to put in the corners of my balcony. I plan to wait till Linder's is slashing prices in like a month to purchase those prearranged pots.
Now, i just need some company to come visit me and enjoy the balcony with me :)
