an eventful weekend!!

first i must start off by saying i am eating sherbet for dinner.mmmmmm..
now onto my weekend! Friday night Kelly and I met Jason out at a bar called Station 4 for a little concert. After the concert was over at 930 (all ages show) we headed up to Willow River for a weekend of cabin fun! I think we got up there around 1130 or midnight... kelly was ready for bed right away. Jason and I played some hotshots golf before heading to bed. I woke up around 9am and started getting out the ATV gear. We headed out to breakfast at Daves Cafe on the ATV. After the yummy breakfast we hit the trails, the very very muddy trails. it was a blast going thru the mud! The storm must have hit Pine County hard because we got over this big hill only to see 2 trees that had fallen onto the path... one tree had been driven over already, the other tree was too big to get over... kelly jumped off the atv and went walking around to see what way we could go with this. we had forest to the right and fields to the left... but not the kind of field you may be picturing in your head.. it was a forest at one point till they cut down all the trees, so now there are tree stumps and weeds and holes everywhere. and to get to that we have to go up a really steep 3 foot hill... we both made it up and then we had to go down a long hill over these stumps and who knows what else. but we made it! after we got thru that we headed up to Doc's as its tradition to get a bloody mary on all my atv trips... then headed up to moose lake. At Moose Lake we took the Soo Line south thru to denham. then turned around and headed to Moose lake and bought food for dinner and then back home. the ride home was a blast again going thru the mud... we were soaked from head to toe in mud! at one point i was driving with jason on my atv and we hit a mud puddle and my atv stopped. both jason and i ended going forward as the atv just sat there. Kelly was behind us and said that one of the back wheels was off the ground! i said you ready? to jason and hit the gas and got thru the rest of the puddle! when we got back Jason grilled up some steaks and weenies, and made some potatoes and corn on the cob and asparagus too! it was a delish dinner! We played some more hot shots golf before grampa kelly headed to bed.
in the am we woke up and strapped the fishing poles to the atv's and headed to willow river for some fishin. we drove along the 2 mile stretch of road between our dirt road and the next when i see a cop turn down our road... oooh no i thought... i look back and hes still driving the other direction... then get to the dirt road we take to the trails and see hes turned around and he has his lights flashing. we pull over and onto the dirt road... turn off our atv... take off our helmets... and he came up to talk to us. poor jason and kelly.. i dind't tell them it was not legal to drive on that road!! he asked for our license, we gave it to him... he checked it out and they were both valid, so he let us go... said where we can drive where we cant... so we turned around and headed back to the cabin, this time in the deep deep weeds.. we got i think maybe 3/4 of the way before we decided it was too dangerous and we jumped back on the road and floored it to the dirt road that leads us to the cabin... you can see an artists reenactment of what happened (art by jason).
we packed up the car, then headed back willow river. We ventured deep into the forest to go fishing... kelly and i decided to turn around jason wanted to keep going for a while.. kelly fished by the dam for a while, then jason came back and we headed for the other side of the dam... jason caught like 5 or 6 fish, i dont think kelly caught anything... kelly was packing up when we heard a little rustling noise and look up into the trees and see a little doe! it was so stinking cute!

after taking some photos we headed back to the car, cleaned up and shut down the cabin and headed home.
Jason had a few ticks on him we caught while at the cabin.. so i checked myself out too to make sure i was not as lucky as jason was.. didn't see a thing. got home and jason texted me saying you better check yourself out again, he found 3 more ticks, 2 were already attaching themselves! so i jumped in the shower... couldn't find anything... then felt something on my butt cheek... i turn around and look to see what it was... it was black and i thought oh no... i kinda picked at it and seen its but go up in the air! I HAD A DEER TICK ATTACHED TO MY BUTT! i get out of the shower and am very careful b/c i dont want it disappearing to some other remote location on my body! i run to my phone and call jason... i was not going thru this alone! i put him on speaker phone while i found a tweezers and pulled the little guy off my butt! i couldn't believe it!! anyway, today i went into the dr to make sure i dont have lyme Disease .. they would usually give someone amoxicillin but being allergic to penicillin, they cant do that for me... so she calls the lymes people and they said unless i actually have the target thing on my butt, she can't give me the alternitive drug... so i gotta keep a close eye on my butt. nice.
so yeah that was my weekend. If i have spoke with you since, you probably know a little about what happened to Malinda and Chris over the weekend... If not, i am going to write about it, but not right now. I just ask everyone keeps both of them in your prayers...
