Cleveland OH

Whats up YALL
Its been a while. I am not good at this blogger thing anymore. i gotta get my azz together here!
Well, over labor day weekend, I met Dan out in Cleveland. He got there about an hour before I landed. He told me he'd be waiting at the gate for me... I got off the plane and was on the phone with him, and asked where he was, he said he was at concourse C.. I was like dude, i am in D... hes like okay well we will meet up in the tunnel (you must go thru a tunnel to get from c to d). So i go on my marry way to the tunnel. i am on the phone with him saying I dont see you, are there two tunnels?? hes like no just one, i said the one coming here isn't moving. hes like i am on it... i was like dude, i dont see you.. we keep talking and suddenly i feel something on my ear... i turn around, there he was! scaring the heck out of me. he followed me all the way from the gate, was right behind me talking the whole time!! i thought i was a bit more aware than that!!
Since I didn't land till 10 that night we just went to the hotel, ordered a pizza and went to sleep.
Saturday morning we got up and headed down to the lake front to check out the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame!It was pretty cool seeing stuff like Elvis' PURPLE Cadi. I asked Dan to buy it for me for my birthday... we will see how that goes!!
After that museum we headed to the hotel before finding our way to the Twins/Indians game.. What a beautiful stadium. too bad Progressive bought the rights to the name there! boooo!!
We had great tickets, just a few rows above the twins dugout. There was an Air Show going on down by the lake so every once in a while a plane or jet would fly right over us, it was SOOOO loud. everyone stopped what they were doing to check it out, even the players! This didn't phase Scott baby face Baker though, we came thru with a big ol W, taking the game 4 to 1. Since we were obviously going to win, lots of the cleveland fans headed out early... so when the game was over, Dan held up this sign (his concept, my design & artwork) :it reads: objects in mirror are closer than they appear... it has the dodgers logo on the left and the twins logo in the mirror. Gardy must have seen it because he tossed me a game ball :) and i caught it. Best twins moment ever!
HOW EXCITING! It was a great game! After we walked back to the hotel and got ready for some piano bar action! Earlier in the week i won a party for 100 people to get free entry, and 2 free drinks a piece! We had our hotel shuttle drop us off. It was a good time. about 16 bachelorette parties were there, which was a bit too much... but a good time none the less.Sunday we headed out to the ball field again to catch another game. This one was not as good, n win for the twins... but fun none the less. This day, i wore my state farm t shirt there. to make sure people know that i am a SF girl, not the progressive girl!
We walked down to the lakefront after the baseball game. just walked around checking things out. Saw the Cleveland Browns stadium (where the vikes played last sunday).
We also saw a cool ship that we weren't able to get on, but got some photos.
We hung out down here for a couple hours. There was a cool little grassy knoll area that we decided lay down on and relax a while. At one point a lady, a dude with a video camera (like a news anchor or something) and another dude came and sat up next to us... they started videoing the lady, and she was telling a story, we couldn't quite hear what it was she was talking about. they kept on taping, while dan and i contemplated how we were going to make our exit thru the shot... we decided we would hold hands and skip our way thru the background of their shot. hehe. we were laughing the whole way thru. anyway, it was a beautiful city... i was not expecting to love it as much as i did. it was so clean, and the view from the shore was sooo pretty. what a great city! glad my goal of seeing all the stadiums brought me there, otherwise i probably wouldn't have made it to Cleveland in my life. And to go with Dan, it was great. I couldn't ask for a better travel partner! no snoring! here is a view coming back from the ship (you can see it a bit on the left)
Sunday night we went back to the hotel and watched Kasey Kahne anialte the compitition! GO KASEY!!
Working on photos of Owen, i will get them uploaded when they are done! Tomorrow I am meeting some Wild players... and going to the Wild game... then Saturday gonna hit up another twins game.. my second to last at the dome!! and then saturday night is girls night!! woo!
