Photography Club

So, I decided I needed something to do outside of work. I started looking online for clubs. Didn't want to join a book club, because, well... it would be like being in high school all over again. reading books i dont want to and have no interest in reading. So, i think, what else do i like to do? quilting... can't find any quilt clubs.... and i am guessing the reason is this: if there is a quilt club i am betting they consist of 80+ year olds who dont have a clue what the internet is let alone know how to build a website for their quilt club.
next up, painting. it would be fun to go somewhere to paint pictures... rather than sitting alone in my apartment... can't find any painting clubs. i sat there thinking, there has to be something else i am interested in. when it finally hits me. PHOTOGRAPHY. duh. google that shit... sure enough here comes the Minnesota Valley Photography Club! they meet in Lakeville the first Thursday of the month. They also have study groups thru the month. I went to my first MVPC meeting last week. Its $20 for the year, so i figure what the heck. not too many people my age, nor people who seem to have a clue about photography... but hey, it gets me out of the house. If I go to a few meetings and hate it, whatever, it was just $20.
That being said, I think I am going to be starting up another 365. This time starting Jan 1, 2010. I am going to get creative people. I am thinking I will take only ONE photo that day (unless of course I am out of town or at an event). Last time I would take multiple photos till I got one I liked. this came to take up a lot of space on my laptop. so this time round, one shot. done.
