So I'm currently flying high over the Midwest... It's cloudy so it's hard to say where I am but I'm thinking somewhere over Wisconsin! I love free in flight wifi!
What I don't so much love was my "layover" in Detroit. We landed in Detroit about 10 min before my flight to msp started boarding... I was thinking they would have my flight somewhere close, gotta be in concourse c where we had just pulled up to. We were at gate C38. First, we sat waiting to pull up to our gate. Then it took forever for the woman to navigate the thingy that connects the plane to the airport... I'm thinking I'll never make it to my connection flight. I get off and ask the lady where I had to go... She says "a68"! I said I'm sorry? "A68... Bout a 20 min walk.." I said I'm never gonna make it! She then told me where to go to rebook. I figured I'd try to run to my flight though. What else would I do in Detroit? Check out where I had to run to and from here... I was at the end of the C concourse, had to go to the middle of the C/B concourse to go under ground to the A concourse, take a left and go almost all the way to the end of A! And it wasn't until i got half way down concourse A that I saw a train that went from one end of A to the other... I obviously didn't have the time to figure something like that out... and maybe had i waited for the train, I may have missed my flight waiting for that!
Maybe by running I'd be dodging stray bullets :).
Thank goodness for those moving sidewalks everywhere. I finally get to concourse a and see that gates a40 thru 78 were to the left, so I headed that way... I ran as fast as I could in high heeled boots dragging my carry on behind me. After a few minutes I could see a66. I knew it wasn't much further... As I approached I noticed a ton of people gathered around... They had just started boarding! Thank the Lord above, I made my flight! I was out of breath and sweating, but I made it!
