womans department

So even though I gave up shopping for Lent... Today I was wanting to shop. So I did some "window shopping". I walked into JCP through the mall entrance today and saw this cute purple/white blouse... I looove purple, so I thought I'd try some clothes on (after all as long as I don't buy it, I'm still not SHOPPING).  I picked up a few other cute tops, just because and headed for the fitting room.
Now I know why I don't shop in the women's department (I think I'm still young enough that I can pull of the clothing in the junior's department).  The first blouse I tried on was the purple and white one... You can't really see it in that photo, but it's got a fabric belt thingy, and it also has a white tank top to wear under the top. The belt was wrapped around the blouse 2 times, and in a very strange fashion... It took me about 5 minutes (no joke) to get it untied, then unwrapped so that I was able to fit into the blouse (you know when they tie those things up that someone that is a size 0 couldn't get into it)... Once I finally got that undone I was trying to put the shirt on... I got it on but something felt weird... I had put my head through the hole in the tank top... how I managed that is beyond me... Took the shirt back off, and ended up having to detach the tank top in order to figure the thing out. It was like some sort of maze... though at the end of a maze you come out with a feeling of pride, feeling like you've accomplished something. When I got this shirt on, I didn't feel either of these two things, what I felt like was a fat queen.  While I am not a big girl, I am also not skinny... I'm average. I like my body just fine, but you have to have the right clothes in order to make me look as good as I feel. Apparently I will not find that in the woman's department... Shirt after shirt made me look frumpy as hell.  Good thing, because I surely didn't buy anything!!!!!!!!!
