anyway, haven't written since my trip to Whitewater, Milwaukee, Chicago and Bartlett!! Last Wednesday Kelly and I jumped onto the MEGABUS!! we took that right into Milwaukee. it was not that bad of a trip. very comfy seats! but it was a good ride. Malinda picked us up in Milwaukee and took us on a lovely tour of Milwaukee :) hehe. After that Mary picked us up at Malindas and we headed to Whitewater. We had a few beers and went out for the ULTIMATE BURGER at the coyote grill!!!
Now, as much as Mary looooves her ultimate burgers..... i loooove my juicy lucys.... now dont get me wrong, it was good... but i think the juicy lucys are better :)
After dinner we went to a couple bars, starting with the Downstairs.... then to Fat Jacks, a bar that a North High alum owns, Jeff. We visited with him for the night. It was good seeing him again!
Thursday morn we headed down to Chicago for the Cubs vs Braves game. We checked into our hotel, the Heart o' Chicago
and then jumped the bus to Wrigley Field!! It was a great experience to see that field!! The Braves led most of the game, then the Cubbies came back with 2 out and the bases loaded... they tied up the game... then in the 12th inning (i think...) the bases were loaded and the relief pitcher hit the guy that was up to bat, thus the cubbies won it!! cheap win, but what can you do!!
After the game we went to a bar, that i still can't remember the name of... we had a pizza... nothing like a chicago pizza i was expecting. then we headed back to the hotel. Then Kelly and I decided it would be better to head to Bartlett that night rather than during rush hour on Friday morning. so we called a cab and hopped the 1040 train. We got to Jons place at about midnight. we talked with jon and his roommate jon and then headed to bed. Friday we got up and watched some soccer on the tv... then headed to a pizza joint... and I forgot the name of this place too. I have been there before with jon, this is really good chicago pizza! It was kellys first time with chicago pizza, he loved it! We went back to the house to watch some more soccer on the tv... i slept thru this one :) then we headed out to watch jon and jon in a soccer game!! i had my fill of soccer that day! Friday night Jon and Jon had a bunch of people over and I had my first try at beer pong!! it took me a couple tosses, but by the second game, i was AWESOME. Jon and I won three games in a row.... then i went and flipped our two remaining cups on the 4th game so we lost... i think we could have gone undefeated if i didnt do that!!
Saturday morning... we got up and headed up to Milwaukee!! we met up with a bunch of jons friends and had a huge tailgating party. it was SOOOOO HOT! and the beer was going down EASILY!! i think i had 3 beers in the first hour!!
we partied for a while before we saw a big ol cloud roll in... i was like YEAY, some shade... then it kept rolling in... and then the lightning and thunder...then RAIN!! it was nice too cool off. the rain then stopped and everyone started partying again... then it rained again and thats when people headed into the game.... kelly and i however.... well, I left our tickets at the hotel... so it was more tailgating for us. kelly decided to buy another ticket and headed in anyway.
The third time the rain started to fall, Jon, Jon, JP and I headed back to the hotel.. we got all dressed up for a night on the town... we headed to Rock Bottom Brewery and ordered some food... by that time i was DONE drinking... we ate then went to water street for some bar hopping... we stayed at one bar for a while, watched the end of the twins/brewers game... how bout that in the park home run cuddy!!! wooo! after that bar we jumped from bar to bar without buying any drinks... then by 10 we were ready for bed!! i fell asleep soon after hitting the sheets!
Sunday morn Kelly and I got up and headed to the train station to catch our bus... when we got on the driver said we would be taking two stops on the way back, everyone goes "TWO?!?!" cuz on the way in, we just stopped the once!! i fell asleep right away... woke up and we were in JANESVILLE.... the road was closed between milwaukee and madison, so we went all the way to janesville where we took our first 25 min stop... where we caught our bus driver writing down DIRECTIONS home... common. i could have driven the bus home from there!! oh and btw, it took 2 hours to get from milwaukee to janesville... shouldn't have taken us that long!! i slept most of the way home... woke up and we were in eau claire... i was thinking well he should stop here, if not menomonie... otherwise why would he stop. can i tell you he stopped at the Summerset exit?! thats right 4 miles from the WI MN border... i couldn't believe it... we would have been home in 30 min. but he has to make another 25 min stop!! some guy on the bus stopped him, mic still on and said WHY ARE WE STOPPING!!! finally, 5:00 pm we got to our bus stop. two hours and 15 min late!!!
