SOOOOO... Here we go again! a couple years ago I decided that I was going to try a new recipe once a month. Well moving back to mom and dads house for half that year didn't help that resolution. So, since I'm once again on my own, it's going to be another goal--only I may do more than one a month. Really I want to do a new recipe every week, but I just don't think that will happen...
This is a recipe that a friend on facebook shared... Not too sure what it's called, so we will call it a chicken noodle bake... I quite liked it.. this recipe is way too much for 2 people, so next time I will half it. Actually I couldn't get all of it into one casserole dish...so I'm thinking you should half it as well!
Chicken Noodle Bake
1 package of egg noodles
2-3 chicken breasts
2 cans of cream of chicken soup
2 cans of milk
seasoning salt
1 stick of butter
1 sleeve of saltine crackers
preheat oven to 350
cook pasta noodles according to package
cut up and cook chicken
in a large bowl mix noodles, chicken, cream of chicken soup, 2 cans of milk together, pour into a large casserole. sprinkle with seasoning salt.
melt butter in a sauce pan. crush up saltine crackers and cook in butter until browning.
pour cracker mix over chicken bake.
cook 25 to 30 minutes.
I added some extras--mushrooms, peas and cheese. I wanted broccoli, but we were out.. so it was peas instead. I sautéed the mushrooms while cooking the chicken... I also used a couple cloves of garlic while cooking the chicken.
try it out. not bad at all. for sure I will do with broccoli next time!
