weekend

i'm super excited for the upcoming weekend at the cabin. i think every weekend should be 3 days. we should never have to work mondays. no one should! no one should even expect anyone to work on mondays! i loved having 4 10s and not having to think about a monday! my worst days were always TUESDAYS!
anyway, we are heading to the cabin, it's gonna be the whole fam damily. should be good times. the sun is supposed to be out, the temps are supposed to be warm, who could ask for more?? we are for sure gonna get the yard games out, test out my cornhole boards and bean bags... play some badminton... sounds like we will have a boat in a lake all weekend, yeahooooo!
fun times to be had by all! and, AND, i get to spend time with my favorite niece, miss haley! woohoo!
which brings me to what happened last memorial weekend... i didn't spend it at the cabin... i spent it with my bff, dan! he came home to bring some stuff here, and to go to a few twinkies games. we had a wonderful weekend... and though i am sad i wont be spending this memorial weekend with him, i know i will be spending many future memorial weekends with him :)

memorial weekend

Whats up!!  I hope you all had a wonderful memorial weekend!!  I had a fabulous time!   As most of you know, I had company in town.  Dan moved out to VA last year, and was coming back to visit.  His friend (also Dan) flew out to VA on Wed night, they hung out in Richmond on Thursday and Friday morning they started a road trip back to MN.  They drove straight thru, and Dan called me at 230am Saturday morning.  I had taken about a 5 hour nap at that point.  Since dan was up driving for 18 hours, he was out pretty much right away, and slept in a bit saturday.  he brought his stuff back to his dads house and we dropped off his rental car.   Headed over to the burnsville mall, then back to my place to make some hot degos...mmmmm... saturday night we met up with a bunch of dan's friends at the moose country. aaah, just like the good ol days!

Sunday we went down to the buffalo tap for a juicy lucy... mmm delightful!  Dan had a buffalo juicy lucy... 

then it was off to the twins and brewers game.  We took the light rail into minneapolis and hit up the dome.  What an exciting game!!  Justin hit a grand slam home run right after the brewers filled the bases by hitting joe mauer!! that'll learn em to hit our guy!  we left with a 6 to 3 win and a sweep of the brew crew! it was great since there were SOOOOOO many bewers fans there...  

Monday was another day for baseball. We picked dan's dad up, and again took the train into Minneapolis.  It was the twins and the braves... twins didn't pull this one off, but it was a close one, 6 to 5.   we saw another home run by joe mauer! that was fun...2 games, 2 home runs by joe joe!

after the twins game we headed back to dan's dads to have a bbq with two of his sisters.  

It was a fun, beautiful weekend!! we couldn't ask for anything more on a memorial weekend!
